Oscar de la Renta showcased their latest collection in a short film paying homage to New York City. Filled with traditional scenes of walking the busy sidewalks; hailing a cab; leaving The Metropolitan Museum of Art; and ordering slices of pizza; models strutted edgy checkered; semi-sheer styles mixed with the brand's more traditional; floral-embroidered pieces. Behind-the-scene views of the atelier show the inspiration and craftsmanship of the sequins; feathers; lace; and fringe that highlight the glamorous silhouettes. Inspired by delicate geraniums climbing a trellis; this fitted silk-lined dress features an open-panel design and placed floral embroidery.
